Progressive Medical, Inc., incorporated in 1986, initially provided electromedical equipment and medical supplies in the Ohio area. We primarily serviced underwriters of workers' compensation insurance, self-insured employers and third party administrators.
By 1990, we added a full range of durable medical equipment to our product line. We laid the groundwork for a nationwide vendor network, enabling injured parties throughout the United States to be efficiently served, often within hours of the referral.
In 1994, we expanded again, adding a pharmacy department, which provided both prescription cards and home delivery. This department caused us to become a complete resource for workers' compensation claims professionals and adjustors.
In 1997 and 1998, additional products and services were added; such as, home health care, infusion therapy, orthotics, prosthetics and respiratory therapy. Our pharmacy department expanded its services adding exclusive First Fill® and Instant ActivationTM programs; capturing the first prescription with no out-of-pocket expense to an injured party. In 1999, medical transportation became an addition to our list of available services.
In 2000, we expanded our reach into the auto-no-fault and personal injury protection arenas. The company saw a need to offer services within these areas and began to provide medical equipment and supplies and pharmacy services to injured parties.
During 2002, it became recognizable that there was a need to add two new services to our robust list. Translation services were added ensuring information is efficiently and effectively communicated, overcoming language barriers. Clear and open communication between the injured party and the claims professional is critical to recovery.
Progressive Medical also added Radiology Diagnostic services. Our diagnostic network makes coordinating radiology and neuro-diagnostic procedures a seamless process. Our program is overseen by board certified professionals ensuring the entire effort is throroughly completed.
We added Physical Medicine services in 2003. Rehabilitation accounts for approximately 22% of the total cost of care for our injured parties. We created a network of professionals to contain costs of this treatment and streamline the referral process. Our Client Services Specialists deliver professional, quality care to get injured parties healthy and back to work faster.
