Progressive Medical developed the Independent Pharmaceutical Evaluation (IPE) as a service to provide rational treatment to an injured party.
Once an evaluation of an injured party is requested by the claims professional, our clinical pharmacists review prescription history, drug interactions and their relevance to the injury sustained. Once an evaluation is made we offer a recommendation on care that would best suit the injured party. Assisting the claims professional in determining medical necessity of prescribed medications, this process provides cost-savings value and also focuses on the safety of our clients' injured parties.
**IPE services are not included with our Total Pharmacy Management program and additional costs will be incurred.
