With concern for the client in mind the Pharmacy Department developed a Drug Utilization Review (DUR) process. The DUR program is an innovative, computerized system, developed in-house to track, flag and report on prescription drugs that are paid or unpaid under an injured party's insurance. This system ensures that no unauthorized prescription slip through avoiding fraud, dangerous interactions and over-prescribing. The DUR program has enabled PMI's clients to realize significant savings.
