The Provant® Wound Therapy System is used by clinicians across all health care settings to promote better patient outcomes in wound healing. The Provant® system is lightweight, portable and easy to use. A nursing visit is not necessary for treatment with the Provant® system. The ease of use enables the injured party to treat themselves; reducing the frequency of necessary supervision.
The injured party simply plugs the unit into an electrical outlet, places the treatment pad directly over a dressed wound and pushes the start button. Provant® treatment penetrates directly through wound dressings, casts, Unna boots and clothing. When the treatment is complete, the Provant® unit automatically shuts itself off. The recommended Provant® therapy schedule is 30 minutes in the morning and again in the evening until wound closure is achieved. The injured party is completely mobile for the rest of the day. Utilizing the Provant® Wound Therapy System, injured parties are able to return to a healthy lifestyle in a timely manner.
