Clinical Services

The Clinical Services department employs a staff of highly credentialed full-time pharmacists and nurses that perform the following documentation and services:

 

Letter of Medical Necessity

Communication to the physician to confirm various pieces of medical information.

 

Drug Utilization Review

Dynamic four-step analysis includes a prospective review, concurrent reviews, intervention and retrospective reviews.

 

Drug Utilization Evaluation (DUE)

A brief review of an insured's medication regimen performed by a clinical pharmacist or a licensed pharmacy intern under the supervision of a pharmacist to evaluate appropriateness of drug therapy.

 

Intervention RX™: An AutoMed Solutions pharmacist or a pharmacist and physician, work together to provide an in-depth clinical review, analysis and report of an insured's medication usage.
