TechColumbus has been recognizing companies and individuals who are making a difference in the world we live.  They seek nominations from many sources in an effort to seek out and identify the best of the best when it comes to technology and information systems and services.  On February 4, Progressive Medical's IS team was awarded the highest honor as a winner in the category of companies with 50 or more employees. Our team was chosen from a group of 13 nominees of notable Columbus area businesses. The award is presented to "a local company that has defined, introduced and marketed a technology-based service. Through this service the company has shown success in addressing an industry need or market niche". Angelo Mazzacco, Chief Information Officer, was also a finalist in the top three for Executive of the Year.
Progressive Medical and our associates united to contribute to the Haiti relief effort in a generous way. We have all been truely blessed, and took this opportunity to do our part to help those so much in need. Progressive Medical matched, dollar for dollar our associate's donation for a combined total of $9,000. All financial contributions were given to the American Red Cross Haiti Response Fund.
We additionally have in our community an organization, Lifeline Mission, who runs a large school and orphanage in Haiti, both of which were destroyed in the recent earthquake. Collections of food, infant items, children's clothing and shoes, linens, toys and household items were delivered to the local facility who in turn sent to their employees serving in Haiti for distribution.
